BOTW ~ Pandemonium ~ This or That with Lauren Oliver!

February 29, 2012, Posted by Maryanne at 2:02 am

One of our favorite ways to get to know an author a little better is by playing “This or That”? We’d like to thank Lauren Oliver for taking time from her busy schedule and sharing a little bit of herself with us.

  •  Mac or PC? Mac!
  • Beach or pool? Beach (and a beach house with a pool!).
  • Broadway musical or football game? Football game.
  • Journey to outer space or the bottom of the sea? Bottom of the sea, as long as I don’t get attacked by a giant squid.
  • Bacon or Cupcakes? Bacon, definitely.
  •  Aragorn or Legolas? Aragorn, for sure.
  •  Morning person or night owl? Sadly, neither. I’m a “sleep” person!
  • Summer or winter? Summer!
  •  Reader or Writer? You can’t be the latter without being the former.
  • Rain or Snow? Snow. (Especially snowdays.)
  •  Darth Vader or Voldemort? Voldemort.
  •  Christmas or Halloween? Christmas. I hate Halloween!
  • Jimmy Choos or Birkenstocks? Jimmy Choos, all the way!
  •  Lennon or McCartney? Lennon! I used to have posters of John Lennon all over my room.
  • Failing or never trying? Failing! Never trying is ultimate failure, in my mind.
  • Truth or dare? Dare, baby. Bring it on.
  •  Dogs or cats? Dogs!

How can anyone possibly hate Halloween?

  2. Angela says:

I can understand hating Halloween. Its kind of a pain, then you have to deal with kids begging to eat their candy for weeks on end.

  3. Oh Lauren…you keep us smiling! What a great This or That!!

  4. Kamie says:

Delirium was my favorite book I read last year, what a great giveaway!

  5. Laura says:

Delirium was the book that got me out of my reading funk a few month’s ago. It was something with a new and different premiss that allowed me to get back into reading again.

  6. Laura Howard says:

I don’t know how I’ve managed to not read anything by Lauren yet, as I’ve heard only amazing reviews! I need to change that ASAP….

  7. StacieM says:

Just started Pandemonium last night. Waiting for this sequel to come out has been torture! I’m only a couple of chapters in but I’m already reminded of why I love Lauren’s books–her writing style is so beautiful, almost…poetic. While waiting for Pandemonium, I read Liesl and Po with my daughter; it was so refreshing to read a children’s book with strong world-building and a gripping plot!

  8. TwilightTammy says:

I really liked Delirium and can’t wait to read Pandemonium! :)

  9. Lolawid says:

I haven’t read either of them, and would love to! I’ve heard such great things about them!

I loved Delirium and I can’t wait to find out what happens next! I have tried to stay away from spoilers but I did hear it picks right up where Delirium left off and I am so happy about that. I want to know what to Alex and Lena!
