INTERCEPT COMPLETE

Survivor, Day by day, the handwritten journal entries of one man caught in a worldwide cataclysm capture the desperation—and the will to survive—as he joins forces with a handful of refugees to battle surviving enemies both human and inhuman from inside an abandoned strategic missile facility. But in the world of the undead, is mere survival enough?

The much anticipated third book in the Day by Day Armageddon series from J.L. Bourne, SHATTERED HOURGLASS picks up right in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, where the dead have overtaken the living as the new dominate species.  In a desperate bid to take back the continental United States, a Navy commander leads a global mission into the heart of the pandemic.

It’s blatantly obvious that zombies have captivated popular culture –and since the Walking Dead is not returning to television until February, SHATTERED HOURGLASS is the perfect way to fill the zombie void. Violent, bloody, and action-packed, it’s got everything that zombie fans demand in their undead stories.

I had the pleasure of receiving a review copy of the first two books, DAY BY DAY ARMAGEDDON and DAY BY DAY ARMAGEDDON: BEYOND EXILE and I blew through them. The story is intense and fully of zombie mayhem. I love how the first two books were written in the first person perspective which really made me feel as if I was in the midst of the pandemic. The author builds the suspense and pulls us through all the intense situations the main character experiences with great ease! From the very first page these books are real page turners.

I also had the opportunity to read SHATTERED HOURGLASS. The intensity and suspense seems slightly lessened in this novel only because the author switches from the first person perspective to third person. The story stitches between the different groups of survivors as we follow along on each of their adventures. I still really enjoyed the characters’ stories, the story line, and all of the zombie mayhem. As the publisher mentioned above, this series is truly a great way to get your zombie fix while you are waiting for the next episodes of The Walking Dead!

If you are a zombie fan, this series definitely needs to be on your to-be-read list!

To help you get started, we are giving away two copies of SHATTERED HOURGLASS. While you could actually pick this book up and still enjoy the book without having read the first two, I still highly recommend picking up the first two books, also. But to get you started! Enter our giveaway today!

Hmm I haven’t read too many zombie books yet. Gah. Could I use a person as my weapon? One that fights zombies on a regular basis? I’m such a wuss on my own. But I am liking Heather’s idea of a flame thrower.

  7. Lily says:

Definitely katanas. If I’m going to be killing zombies, I’m gonna kill them in style!
